The Montreal chapter of Growing up in Science invites you to our first event of 2023: a conversation with Dr. Jorge Armony
We are excited to host Dr. Jorge Armony in our Growing Up In Science series of conversations. In this series we welcome our guests’ unofficial stories; not just the big successes but also the many adversities that we all inevitably face. We talk about the joys and also the struggles, regrets, the challenges of work-life balance, and whatever else comes up. The audience is warmly invited to join the conversation.
Dr. Armony is an associate professor in the department of psychiatry at McGill University and a member of the CRBLM and BRAMS. Using a wide variety of cutting-edge techniques, his research investigates how the brain processes fear and how this interacts with other cognitive processes such as attention and memory. His work has provided insight into emotional processing both in healthy humans and in those with stress-related disorders.
The next Growing up in Science guest will be David Ragsdale on April 12. For more on the Growing up in Science series in Montreal, click here.
