Simona Maria Brambati is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the Université de Montréal and FRQS Junior 2 Fellowship Researcher. She obtained her PhD at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele. She completed a post-doctorate at UCSF and the Université de Montréal. Since 2011 she directs the laboratory LINGUA. Her research activity is in the field of language neuroscience. She works with patients with dementia or who have suffered a stroke. She uses various magnetic resonance imaging and artificial intelligence approaches to investigate the neural basis of language disorders in these patients. Her research is funded by the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the FRQS, and the Canadian Foundation for Innovation.
