Natalie Phillips’s general area of research is adult human neuropsychology and the neuropsychology of aging, with an emphasis on integrating cognitive, neurophsychological, and electrophysiological (event-related brain potentials or ERPs) measures of brain function. Her current research examines the influence of working memory, inhibitory control, and perceptual variables on language processing in younger and older adults, audio-visual speech perception in younger and older adults, and in patients with Alzheimer disease and mild cognitive impairment, bilingual language processing in younger and older adults, and executive function in younger and older adults and in patients with or at risk for dementia.
