Madeleine Sharp is a neurologist specializing in movements disorders at the Montreal
Neurological Institute of McGill University. Her research focuses on understanding the cognitive
mechanisms underlying cognitive and behavioural symptoms in patients with neurodegenerative
disorders, in particular, Parkinson’s disease. The long-term goal is to develop a framework for
understanding the many cognitive and behavioural phenotypes of Parkinson’s disease that takes
into consideration genetics, pathophysiology, co-morbidities and social factors.
