Jessica Coon is a professor in the Department of Linguistics at McGill University. Her research centers on variation across human languages, specifically in the domains of syntax and morphology, with a focus on Indigenous languages of the Americas. In addition to theoretical research, she has worked to build collaborations with community-driven language documentation and revitalization efforts.
