Workshop presenting Mitacs, a national not-for-profit organization
Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that “builds partnerships between academic, industry and the world, to create a more innovative Canada”.
This one-hour workshop will provide you information about their research programs and fundings opportunities.
Mitacs has designed and delivered research and training programs in Canada for 15 years. Working with 60 universities, thousands of companies, and both federal and provincial governments, it build partnerships that support industrial and social innovation in Canada.
It offers various programs that can help you in connecting with industrial partners and give you financial support to achieve your project.
Mr Jean-Philippe Valois, Director, Mitacs Business Development, will present to the CRBLM community what his organization is and what opportunities it offers.

Two Mitacs recipients, Pr Susan Rvachew, a CRBLM faculty member, and Mr Derek Albert, a graduate student from McGill University, will share their experience with Mitacs and they will tell us how their projects have been supported by the organization.
