Mobile EEG
Mobile EEG technology offers researchers the opportunity to measure electrophysiological signals from moving participants, which is not possible with traditional set-ups. Furthermore, mobile EEG systems are being developed in tandem with groups working on virtual/augmented reality and brain-computer interfaces (BCI), two areas of great interest to cognitive neuroscience.
On May 27, BRAMS and CRBLM will hold a full-day workshop on mobile EEG, featuring:
·Presentations from mobile EEG researchers in the Montreal neuroscience, computer science, and neurohack communities
·Hands-on demonstration of brain recording with mobile EEG devices and open-source software
·An invited lecture from Dr. Martin Bleichner (University of Oldenburg) on how mobile EEG can be used for neurocognitive research
·Live demonstrations of mobile EEG used for BCI applications
