Signy Sheldon’s research focuses on the neural processes that support episodic memory and how these processes contribute to non-memory functions in younger and older adults. Her work also examines how memory processes interact with other cognitive functions, including language, and are affected by brain disease and disorders. Another area of her work examines how individual differences in approaches to remembering are represented in the brain.
