CRBLM discussion: Navigating career changes while working from home
UPDATE: The presenters have generously shared their slides for those who missed the event. Please find the links below.
The pandemic has brought both challenges and opportunities for individual career growth. With remote work, geography has suddenly become less important, and it is easier than ever to interview for a job on the other side of the world. On the other hand, remote work has also made it harder to network and to get a feel for a potential employer/employee before signing on the dotted line, not to mention finding your feet once you begin a new position.
In this next instalment in our discussion series, we will hear from three CRBLM alumni who have successfully moved to the next stage of their career (within and outside academia) during the pandemic. We invite all CRBLM students, post-docs, and faculty to come explore ideas, identify struggles, and offer suggestions around the theme of how to find and begin a new job while working from home.
